About 90% of cardiac arrest occurs outside hospital and victims brain is damaged permanently after 6 minutes of Cardiac arrest. Only less than 10% victims survives who were taken to hospital . A bystander can give CPR, Chest compression at 100/ minute till arrival of emergency medical help. CPR is a life saving skill.
